Senior Accountant
A well-established local company with 12 years of experience in IT consulting and software distribution is seeking a qualified professional for the position of Senior Accountant.

Position Overview
The Senior Accountant will be responsible for overseeing the company’s accounting operations, ensuring compliance with local legislation, managing financial reporting processes, and supervising accounting staff.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure accounting records are maintained in full compliance with local legislation.
- Oversee daily financial operations including payments, issuance of e-invoices, preparation of documentation, and ERP transaction recording.
- Supervise and monitor the timely and accurate performance of duties by the Junior Accountant (Operations Accountant).
- Ensure proper calculation and payment of salaries and business travel expenses.
- Manage and control settlements with creditors and debtors.
- Perform necessary operations in government portals (e.taxes.gov.az, e.gov, e.tender, e.custom, AFSA, EMAS, etc.) and conduct official correspondence when required.
- Prepare financial, tax, and statistical reports.
- Conduct tax risk analysis and planning; analyze and respond to desk audit discrepancies.
- Prepare financial performance analysis and comparative reports for submission to the Chief Executive Officer.
- Provide consultation to the Sales Department regarding the Law on Public Procurement.
- Ensure execution of tender procedures and preparation of required documentation.
Requirements
- Minimum 5 years of experience in a Senior Accountant role with relevant responsibilities.
- Fluency in Azerbaijani.
- Strong working knowledge of 1C 8.3.
- Ability to conduct basic written communication in English.
- Experience in financial consulting companies will be considered an advantage.
